Each of us has been touched by cardiovascular disease, whether it is personally or through a family member or friend.
Today, more of our friends and family members are surviving, living better and longer lives because of research, educational programs, as well as advances in technology brought about by the American Heart Association (AHA). For almost 60 years the AHA has worked to reduce heart disease and stroke in Hawaii, work that is reaping benefits to us all.
On February 21, 2009, the AHA will hold its major fundraising event, the Heart Ball at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. Many view this gala is as the premier black-tie event in Hawaii. I would like to invite Social Wahines members to join us in supporting this event. Tickets are $350 per person and include an elegant dinner, music by the Honolulu Jazz Quartet with Ginai on vocals, and dancing until midnight. You will be seated with fellow Social Wahines and we promise that it will be an evening that you and your guests will remember for a lifetime!
