We’ll be holding a “Practioners Only†Meeting on August 10th at 6PM at ING Café (upstairs in the boardroom) to discuss the next stage of building the social media community in Hawaii. We’d like your input and your voice in taking the community to the next level. As the social media tagline says: If you get it, share it.
Is this meeting for you?
This meeting is for Social Media Consultants both independently employed and also working as the Social Media leader inside an organization. You do more than use the tools, you train others in using them, assist in development of social media strategy and run social media campaigns. You’re the “resident†expert and you have a stake in the professional development of social media in Hawaii. You’re a leader and are looking to grow your career and share your insights with others.
If this is you, please RSVP (required) at EventBrite: http://smchi-100810.eventbrite.com
What do YOU get out of it?
A voice in the development of social media in Hawaii
Speaking opportunities
A role in educating and helping others in the business community understand and implement social media strategies.
Networking opportunities with local Hawaii businesses and other practitioners.
About Social Media Club of Hawaii (@smchi)
We are YOUR local chapter of Social Media Club.
We offer bi-monthly meetings for social-media-practitioners only to share insights and strategies.
We hold additional public meetings, open to everyone and anyone, to educate and serve the community. These meetings offer speaking and sponsorship opportunities and also are great lead generators!
We have several levels of membership including free, professional and student, each offering unique benefits supported at both the local level and the national level.
Of over 200 national chapters, the Hawaii chapter was among the top 50.
Unlike most professional associations, we operate with an open structure and can make our chapter what we want.

If you’re a social media pro, please join us on Tues August 10th. We welcome visitors from the neighbor islands and can set up a virtual meeting connection if you are unable to join us in person.
University students who are enrolled in relevant fields are welcome to join as student members. The SMC actually has a large initiative underway, #SMCEDU, to develop college curricula for social media practices.
Advance registration is required at Eventbrite, however the RSVP list will not be publicly displayed. We also invite you to share this with appropriate colleagues.
As the Social Media Club tagline sys, “If you get it, share it.â€
