About Yancey Unequivocally:
At a young age, Yancey got emancipated because her father passed away from lung cancer and her mother chose to hide her pain with alcohol. Something inside her (she now knows that something is: FAITH) guided her to do all she could in life; achieve anything and everything her heart desired. She thought working hard and going to school was great until it hit her. She didn't want to work at a casino the rest of her life, nor stay in Mississippi.
Yancey was always told to go to school to get a good job, so she went to college where she received numerous scholarships to help her on her journey. After graduating with a B.S. in Management Information Systems, Yancey moved on to get an MBA in Network Security. Yancey worked as a government contractor in Hawaii and after reading business books, personal development, and investing in herself, she realized she was not living passionately, nor congruent with her purpose. She was trading time for dollars and quickly noticed that success and achievement would not be reached nor her goals and dreams by age 40, let alone by age 65. After 3 months of mentorship and coaching, she quit her job and bought her first home at age 25.
Yancey has served on Board of Directors in many organizations, Member of FAMES, Served as Chapter President for BNI, Member of Toastmasters, featured in Success From Home Magazine in September 2008, and featured in Performance Magazine as a leader in entrepreneurship. She was also featured as the cover story of Pacific Business News in March 2009 because of her unique last name and entrepreneur story. She was selected to be the youngest mentor for the NAWBO organization to coach other business owners on many different aspects in business and in life. Being the Youngest Mentor, Yancey quickly had to learn about certainty and empowerment to lead other phenomenal businesswomen.
She owns her own company, Empowered Presentations, with a very congruent life purpose. In 2010, just after launching the business, they won World's Best Presentation from slideshare.net. Empowered Presentations is also the front-page feature story in Pacific News Bytes Summer 2011, a Local Hawaii Technology Magazine. Her company also serves TedxHonolulu where Yancey is on the Executive Board. Yancey is also a nomination for 40 Under 40 and Best New Business. Her company has also been written about on Forbes.com and InDezine.com. Yancey has spoken at many events and trained on stages with over 1,500 in attendance. She has also been a guest to speak on many WebCast shows all over the world. Yancey is a true leader in her community, serves her church ministries, and is enthusiastic to help people achieve anything and everything they desire!
