Join the Kakaako Makai Marketplace on Saturday, October 22 from 9:00AM-2:00PM for the Aloha Pet Festival at Kakaako Makai Park -- a day celebrating the furry members of our ohana! The public is invited to bring their entire family to a one-of-a-kind event featuring, food booths, local crafters, pet vendors and pet contests.
The Aloha Pet Festival will feature a �Bow Wow Brunch� with over 13 food trucks and booths catering to people and pets including Kiba Cafe, Hawaiian Chef, Hawaiian Gal's Slushy, Guava Smoked Barbecue, Wailani Beverages, Tiki Truck, All Kine Ice Cream, Inferno Pizza, Puffette Pastry, Camille on Wheels, Koi and Ala Carte. Special pet-friendly delicacies include doggie donburi, pet shave ice and more.
Discover the latest pet accessories and services from our pet vendors and learn about responsible pet ownership from a variety of animal assistance groups. Pets are invited to participate in the best pet trick contest at 11AM and pet costume contest at 12PM.
Event coordinators will be collecting food donations for local animal assistance groups at the event. Please bring unopened pet food, gently used towels and pet items to the event. To ensure a safe and fun event, all pets must be accompanied by their owners and remain on a leashor in a stroller for the duration of the event.
The Kakaako Makai Community Cultural Marketplace is an "environmentally friendly" destination designed for and by the community to support Hawaii�s small family farms, local crafters, artisans, and chefs. Always pet-friendly, the marketplace is open weekly on Fridays from 4:30-8:00PM and on Saturday from 9:00AM-2:00PM. Free parking and complimentary admission. Featuring local farmers, chefs, fishermen, artisans, performers, community groups, and non-profit organizations. All market goods are made in Hawaii. Non- GMO produce and all opala (trash) is recycled and composted. Plastic and styrofoam are kapu (not permitted). A program of the Living Life Source Foundation.
