Are you an adventurous person who likes to explore Hawaii by going sky diving, helicopter touring, kayaking, horseback riding, enjoy spa packages and culinary adventures? If you said yes to the above and also love to write, I have the perfect job for you!
We're looking to hire a few select travel bloggers/reviewers to write for a brand new, high end virtual tour site. If you or anyone you know writes well and is looking for a fun gig, have them contact me at danshells@hotmail.com. Big Mahalo!
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. If you are someone that can write engaging, brief content in anadventurous, poetic way, but also be funny in a subtle "I smarter than you but you still love me sort of way" then you are what we are looking for. If you are also the person that friends come to for advice because you are honest and candid then you may be the perfect person for us.
2. Likely, you are a recent college grad and/or enjoy blogging, are darn good at it, and can prove it. Please keep reading if you are. If not then :(
3. The position is for a locally owned ecommerce company that I run (ExperienceHawaii.com). You must be living in Hawaii or will be in the very near future.
4. It is very critical that you are EXTREMELY reliable, meet deadlines, respond to emails within 24 hours, must be tech savvy, and have a positive can do attitude (Please don't apply if you aren't all 5).
5. To start this will be part-time but can easily grow to a full-time position.
JOB REQUIREMENT: We send you on local tours & activities and force you to write several different forms of copy.
TYPES OF TOURS WE SEND YOU ON:
Horseback riding
Hiking
Kayaking
Whale Watching
Biking Haleakala
Crawling through mud on an adventure course
Shark Cage Diving
Sky Diving
Food Trucking
Museum
Spa
Helicopter Tour
And whatever else we think Hawai'i visitors would love
Types of copy:
100 word product (tour) description with bullet points for "What you'll love" and "What you should know"
500 word candid, engaging review of the experience from a traveler's perspective
Picture captions
Blog Post
Social media post to promote your experience (Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook)
Ad copy
And whatever else we can come up with to reach our customers
I know it sounds awesome and it is, but seriously, we need a bad ass writer to go on tours and produce copy that SELLS. If you are not a bad ass writer that can produce copy that SELLS please do not apply.
